PTA Setbacks 4G Variety Auction in Pakistan 2017

Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has postponed the public auction for Next Generation Mobile Services (NGMS) range (3G/4G) until 24 of MAY 2017, on the demand of telecom providers.

Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) had previously declared to hold public auction for NGMS range (3G/4G) on 16 of MAY 2017.

While discussing with Senior Sites, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) representatives revealed that all telecom providers have indicated extreme interest in the variety, particularly the Ufone. Providers sought more time on the request that their Board conferences are ongoing and need acceptance for going to take part in the auction.

The standard said that almost all providers including Zong, Telenor, Jazz and Ufone have contacted for postponing the auction process.

Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) is expecting to produce more than the base price of $295 million.
