Pakistan’s Mehwish Ali won the Nordic Junior Open Squash Championship with a brilliant performance.
Mehwish defeated France’s second seed Kiara Bollinger in the event’s final held in Sweden. Mehwish won the decider three-nil, his winning scores being eleven-five, eleven-seven, and twelve-ten.
Earlier in the Group D matches of the Nordic Open, Mehwish got her first win against Norway’s Veld Ode, then she also defeated Denmark’s Camila Thomsen 3-0.
In the quarter-finals, Mehwish defeated her sister Mahni Ali after a tight contest. In the semi-finals, she defeated Elise Allard of Belgium to reach the final, where she defeated France’s Kiara Bollinger to become the champion.
Mehwish won the bronze medal in the Danish Junior Squash Championship last month. Her sisters also performed brilliantly in the Nordic Open, with Sahrash finishing fourth and Mah Noor finishing fifth.
