Investigators have obtained a video linked to the attackers involved in the assault on Chinese nationals near Karachi Airport. The footage reportedly shows the vehicle used in the attack driving through the city streets and is believed to have been recorded by the assailant shortly before the incident.

According to investigative sources, authorities have also gathered details about the attacker’s accomplice. A relative of the attacker was taken into custody in Malir. It has been revealed that the attacker checked out of a hotel at noon on the day of the assault and went to his relative’s house in Malir. That night, he drove from Model Colony to the attack site.

Sources also noted that the attacker had stayed at a hotel near Regal Chowk in Saddar on December 3 of the previous year. On that occasion, a friend had visited him, and the two spent about four hours in the hotel room before checking out.

Meanwhile, a case has been registered regarding the attack on Chinese nationals near Karachi Airport. Police officials stated that the case was filed at the CTD police station under the complaint of SHO Kalim Musa of the Airport Police Station.

The case’s text indicates that the squad of Chinese nationals was targeted in the blast while they were en route from the airport to Sharae Faisal. The banned organization BLA has claimed responsibility for the attack.

According to the case, the attack was aimed at damaging the country’s reputation and resulted in the deaths of three individuals, including two Chinese nationals. Additionally, 15 vehicles were affected, and a police mobile was destroyed. One Rangers personnel, Habibullah, was also injured in the blast.

The registered case states that an unknown terrorist drove a bomb-laden double cabin vehicle into the convoy of Chinese nationals, which included police and Rangers vehicles. One injured individual and the bodies of two Chinese nationals were sent to the hospital, along with the remains of another unidentified body.

The text further states that the attacker allegedly targeted the Chinese nationals with the assistance of a foreign enemy intelligence agency, intending to undermine Pakistan-China relations and national security. The banned organization claimed that the unknown terrorist was mentored by foreign intelligence.

Junaid Baloch, the spokesperson for the banned organization, accepted responsibility for the attack, stating that the masterminds include Commander Bashir Ahmed Baloch and Abdul Rahman alias Rahman Gul. These masterminds and their accomplices devised the attack, but investigative agencies are actively continuing their investigations into the incident.
