Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf protest

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced a protest at Islamabad’s D-Chowk on October 15, as per the decision of its political committee.

A PTI spokesperson stated that in light of the planned protest in Islamabad, demonstrations in Punjab districts have been canceled.

The spokesperson added that the “mandate-stealing” rulers are not ready to stop their cruelty and oppression.

On the other hand, Federal Minister for Information, Attaullah Tarar, stated that the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit will proceed smoothly, and no disruptive elements will be allowed to interfere. He affirmed that Pakistan is ready to welcome the foreign dignitaries.

He mentioned that the heads of 12 countries will attend the SCO summit, which will enhance Pakistan’s international standing, and that hosting the SCO summit is an honor for the country.

The minister also emphasized that those with a conspiratorial mindset should remain calm at home, adding that security arrangements are complete with the army, Rangers, and police deployed.

The SCO summit will be held in Islamabad on October 15 and 16, with leaders and representatives from China, Russia, India, and other countries expected to attend.

For security, military forces have been deployed in Islamabad until October 17.
