SCO meeting: Tajik Prime Minister arrives in Islamabad

Tajikistan’s Prime Minister Kokhair Rasulzada arrived in Islamabad to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit.

Federal Minister of Commerce Jam Kamal welcomed the Tajik Prime Minister at the airport.

Tajikistan is among the founding members of the Shanghai Five, the SCO’s premier opening forum.

On the other hand, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Turkmenistan reached Pakistan.

Federal Minister Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui welcomed Turkmenistan’s Foreign Minister Rashid Mayardov.

SCO Summit: Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan arrived in Pakistan

Turkmenistan is not a member, observer or dialogue partner of the SCO, but is participating as a guest.

Member States may by consensus invite a non-member to attend a meeting.

Turkmenistan will not be able to sign documents at the SCO summits and will not be able to participate in discussions in these camera sessions.
