The Sri Lankan A thrashed Pakistan Shaheens in the first semi-final of the Emerging Teams T20 Asia Cup and made it to the final. Sri Lanka A defeated Pakistan Shaheen by 7 wickets in the semi-finals in the match played at Oman’s Amarat Cricket Ground.
The Green Shirts scored 135 for 9 in the stipulated 20 overs. Opener Amir bin Yousuf scored 68 runs.
Haider Ali 14, Mohammad Imran 13 and Arafat Minhas could not reach the double-digit in front of Sri Lanka’s bowling line except for 10 runs.
In reply, Sri Lanka A thrashed Pakistan Shaheens by achieving the target of 136 runs in the 17th over with a loss of 3 wickets and secured the final seat.
Hean Wakarma Singh was unbeaten with 52 runs while Lahiro Odara scored 43 runs and played a leading role in the team’s victory.
Sufian Muqeem of Pakistan Shaheen and Abbas Afridi took 1 wicket each.
