Israeli Defense Minister Issues Threat to Hezbollah’s New Leader Naeem Qassem
Today, following Hezbollah’s announcement of Naeem Qassem as its new leader, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant issued a threat against him.
In a statement on the social media platform X, he shared a picture of Naeem Qassem and captioned it, stating that this appointment is temporary and will not last long.
The Israeli Defense Minister also released a similar statement in Hebrew, emphasizing that this appointment is temporary and that the countdown has begun.
It is noteworthy that the Lebanese resistance organization Hezbollah officially elected Naeem Qassem as its leader a month after the martyrdom of Hassan Nasrallah. Naeem Qassem had previously served as Hassan Nasrallah’s deputy for an extended period and was appointed as the acting leader after Nasrallah’s martyrdom. Additionally, he has been a member of Hezbollah’s Shura Council three times consecutively.
