ChatGPT’s analysis on the failure of the Neelum Jhelum project was used as a cash cow, raking in a whopping 100 million

Who is at fault in the closure of the five hundred billion rupees Neelum Jhelum Hydro Project? The government asked to make a report, the maker took 10 crores and copied and pasted it from ChatGPT

To find out the reasons behind the failure of the Neelum Jhelum Hydro project, the “experts” took a jet from ChatGPT and extorted Rs 10 crore from the government.

According to details, the government rejected the investigation report prepared at a cost of Rs 10 crore on the tunnel demolition of Neelum Jhelum hydropower project, the reason being that the findings and recommendations of the report were freely available on the AI tool chat GPT.

According to the Express Tribune, an interesting situation arose in the meeting to determine the reasons for the failure of the Neelum Jhelum project and those responsible for it, under the chairmanship of Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal, when the investigation report of the tunnel demolition was shared.

The report contained general reasons for the tunnel collapse and suggestions for rehabilitation. After seeing the report, Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal immediately opened his chat GPT account and mocking the experts, he said that the results he obtained from Rs 10 crore are available on chatbot for free.

According to the sources, in the meeting, instead of accountability from the officials, it was suggested to the government that the tunnel should be reconstructed at a cost of 250 to 300 billion rupees, or repaired with 20 billion rupees.

However, WAPDA officials clearly stated that the repaired tunnel cannot be guaranteed to last more than six years. Sources said that efforts are being made to save those responsible for the serious damage to the infrastructure of the Neelum Jhelum project.

A cabinet member said that the Rs 500 billion Neelum Jhelum project was completed in haste for political gain against engineering guidelines.
