X Suspends Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei’s Hebrew Account
Social media platform X has suspended the Hebrew-language account of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei.
The Hebrew account was created following Israel’s attacks on Iran on Friday night.
In a statement posted on the Hebrew-language account, Ayatollah Khamenei said, “Israel has miscalculated regarding Iran and made a mistake by attacking. We will show them the strength, resolve, and courage of the Iranian nation.”
Khamenei issued additional statements after this, which led to the suspension of his Hebrew account by X.
It is worth noting that Ayatollah Khamenei’s accounts in other languages, including Arabic, Persian, English, and Bengali, remain active on X.
According to foreign media reports, Meta had previously removed Ayatollah Khamenei’s accounts from Facebook and Instagram as well.
